Biography

Luke is ambitious in his filmic tastes, striving toward creating films that are larger in scope, but tell intimate stories. To this end, over the years he has written and directed four short films that tell diverse and ambitious stories.

In 2011, Luke’s BBC Wales short film EDNA’S BENCH was nominated for a BAFTA Cymru award (Best Short Form).

In 2019, his short screenplay, Jewish Kindertransport drama DEAREST OTTO won Best Screenplay award in the UK Parliament Film the House UK competition.

In 2020, his short screenplay, 17th century witchhunt thriller THE CONFESSION was nominated for Best Screenplay in the UK Parliament Film the House UK competition.
